YHVH Instructions to Moses & Aaron

In Exodus 12, we read that YHVH instructed Moses and Aaron in advance, at least before the 10th of the month of the Aviv, that the Israelites should select lambs on the10th of the month, sacrifice and roast them on the evening of the 14th, sprinkle the blood on the doorposts, gird up their loins, put on their shoes, put their staffs in hand, and eat the lambs in haste inside their homes with unleavened bread and bitter herbs…that the angel of death would “pass over” their houses and that YHVH would lead them out of Egypt the selfsame day.
